Argues that two quatrains in MS TCD H 6. 11, first line A mhná fágbhaidh fúmsa in feart, ascribed to Tadhg Ó Conchubhair, to commemorate Piaras de Léis (†1751 in Riga), appear to be a recycling of ‘John Lacys epitap’, extant as (first line) Wná fagig foumsa un farth in MS Paris, BNF, Fonds Français 26954, Pièces Originales vol. 470, Dossier 10477, f. 13 (includes photograph), and Mhná fáguigh fúmsa an feart in a MS in the possession of J. Vendryes (see R. A. S. Macalister, in RC 48 (1931), pp. 235-280; cf. Best2 925).
